The features of reproduction technologies of Braille relief-dot images have been considered by the method of screen and digital printing and embossing on pharmaceutical cardboard packaging. The profile of a Braille dot and its geometric parameters (height) has been studied by using the device AniCam Troika 3D. An expert assessment of tactile perception of Braille images formed by using three different technologies (method of embossing, screen printing and inkjet) has been carried out. The impact of Braille relief-dots printing technologies on their tactile readability by the blind has been confirmed based on such analysis. The mechanism of cognitive perception of information by people with visual impairments in reading of relief-dot symbols has been considered.
