The article highlights the role of the translated into Ukrainian theological literature in the formation of post-totalitarian consciousness. It has been noted that after the fall of the Iron Curtain, the Ukrainian reader was able to freely read the Bible and to learn about the major works of prominent Western European theologians, who, using modern scientific tools, raised important social problems. These professionally translated works have become not only valuable religious texts, but they have also deepened the understanding of many social problems of the modern world, and they have become an important benchmark in difficult life situations, a source of contemporary interpretation of Biblical expressions and verbalization of new concepts of religious life.

Keywords: translated theological literature, publishing, social communications, post-totalitarian consciousness.
