The article presents characteristic of design peculiarities of additional means, intended to use in problems forecasting. Installed on the approaches to the formation of the overall process of forecasting, as well as approaches to the estimation of the magnitude of the error that occurs when implementing the processes of prediction; confirmed their relationship.
