Travel-journalism as object of scientific understanding spheres of interest and discussion problems (on the materials of foreign experience)

The article systemizes accumulated experience of scientific investigation of unexplored media phenomenon of travel-journalism in foreign media studies. The article outlines major directions in research area of travel-journalism: theoretical, cross-discursive and precedential. In the article particular attention is paid to representation of foreign scientists’ achievements in the sphere of travel-journalism investigation, revealing controversial aspects in the study of this heterogeneous phenomenon as well as perspectives for further research.
