GENERAL PRINCIPLES
The Editorial Board of the journal of scientific papers "Printing and Publishing" is a collegiate body formed and acting to ensure the preparation and publication of the journal of scientific papers in Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
The editor-in-chief is approved by the Academic Council of Ukrainian Academy of Printing on the proposal of the Vice-Rector in charge of Scientific Work. Changes to the editorial board are approved by the editor-in-chief. The subject structure of the Journal is determined by its Editorial Board.
1. MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
1.1. The definition on the basis of program objectives head of the Editorial Board of the promising areas of activity.
1.2. The definition of editorial position on specific issues and problems of a creative nature.
1.3. Provision of proposals on long-term planning, the definition of thematic areas of work.
1.4. Promoting efficiency in the distribution of information materials.
1.5. Development of contacts and connections for the purpose of information exchange.
2. ORGANIZATION OF ACTIVITY OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
2.1. The form of work of the editorial board is a meeting held under the direction of the chairman or on his behalf by the deputy chairman.
2.2. The number and membership of the Editorial Board are approved by the Chairman of the Editorial Board.
2.3. The Editor-in-Chief, who is the chairman of the Editorial Board, manages the work of the Editorial Board. In addition to the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial board includes two deputies, a responsible secretary and members of the Editorial Board.
2.4. A meeting of the Editorial Board may be convened by the chairman of the Editorial Board on his / her own initiative, on the initiative of the editorial council, or at the suggestion of not less than one-third of the Editorial Board.
2.5. According to the decision of the editor-in-chief, separate working groups of representatives of the Editorial Board consisting of not less than three persons can be created for the prompt resolution of specific issues.
2.6. Decisions on issues that are considered at the meetings of the Editorial Board are taken by open discussion. The editorial board is responsible for organizing the process of reviewing manuscript articles.
2.7. The editorial board makes decisions by a simple majority of votes in the presence of not less than two-thirds of its staff. In the case of equal distribution of votes, the voice of the editor-in-chief is decisive.
2.8. The decision of the editorial board enters into force after its approval by the chairman of the Editorial Board. The chairman of the Editorial Board supervises the implementation of the decisions of the Editorial Board.
3. DUTIES AND RIGHTS OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
3.1. The editorial board is headed by the editor-in-chief, who conducts the general scientific guidance of the Journal.
3.2. The editorial board of the Journal contributes to the qualitative formation of an editorial portfolio, makes final decisions on the acceptance or rejection of articles submitted for publication in the Journal, along with the editor-in-chief and authors are responsible for the high scientific and theoretical level of printed materials and information content of the Journal.
3.3. The editorial board approves the requirements for the materials submitted for publication in the Journal.
3.4. The editorial board submits the materials of the Journal with the visa of the editor-in-chief or his deputy "To print" in the printing press for replication.
3.5. The Editorial Board keeps the right to publish as separate articles and entire collections free of charge.
3.6. The results of the discussion of issues raised by the editorial board are drawn up by a protocol signed by the chairman of the board or the deputy and responsible secretary authorized by him.
4. MEMBERS OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
4.1. Members of the Editorial Board are specialists in their subject area and have academic degrees of doctors and candidates in the relevant fields of science.
4.2. The list of the members of the Editorial Board is given in the printed version of the Journal and on the site of the Journal http://pvs.uad.lviv.ua.
4.3. Members of the Editorial Board are required to act in the interests of the editorial staff and personally to participate in the meetings of the Editorial Board, and if they can not take part, inform the chairman of the Editorial Board in advance about the reasons.
4.4. Members of the Editorial Board have the right to make proposals for an extraordinary meeting of the Editorial Board, to amend the order of meetings and to express a separate opinion in case of disagreement with the decisions of the Editorial Board.
4.5. Members of the Editorial Board participate in the discussion of the content of each issue of the Journal and have the right to regulate the timetable and the order of the printing of materials.
5. THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE Journal AND DEPUTIES
5.1. The editor-in-chief defines the general strategic goals and scientific direction of the Journal.
5.2. Manages the work of the Editorial Board and makes final decisions on the issue of the Journal.
5.3. The editor-in-chief provides the involvement of leading scientists and specialists to the Journal and its Editorial Board.
5.4. Can delegate some of his powers to his deputy.
5.5 The Deputy Editor-in-Chief may make suggestions in the prescribed manner regarding changes in the composition of the Editorial Board, in particular, the Chief Secretary.
5.6. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief, together with the chief secretary, ensures the coordination of the whole cycle of work on the complete set of each issue of the Journal, reviewing and editing articles, printing them, distributing the Journal and sending them an electronic version to the National Library of Ukraine named after Vernadsky V. I.
6. CHIEF SECRETARY
6.1. The Chief of the Editorial and Publishing Department of Ukrainian Academy of Printing is appointed as a chief secretary.
6.2. The Chief Secretary coordinates the activities of the Editorial Board, controls the receiving and processing of the submitted materials, ensures their registration, monitors compliance with the requirements for the registration of articles, sends materials to a review, and controls the timing of reviewing articles, communicates with the authors, identifies the optimal timetable for preprint preparation of articles for the creation of an original-layout and issue of the Journal, forms the contents of each issue.
6.3. The chief secretary (editor) sends copies of the Journal in accordance with the list of compulsory mailing.
