Development of an interactive subsystem for personalized learning of foreign vocabulary

The development of information technology stimulates the introduction of modern digital educational platforms that make the process of learning languages more effective. This meets the growing demands for quality education and preparation of users for the conditions of a digital society. In today’s educational environment, effective foreign language learning requires innovative tools that help automate the learning process and monitor progress. The development of software for a foreign language learning platform using a database is of great practical importance and has broad prospects for implementation. Automating the process of learning vocabulary using various types of training — flashcards, typing tests, and multiple-choice tests — helps to increase the effectiveness of material assimilation. Java programming language and SQLite database were used to implement the task. The developed programme provides storage and analysis of learning results, allowing users to receive feedback and monitor their progress. The intuitive interface and real-time data availability make the system convenient and flexible, while the use of a database ensures the reliability and scalability of the platform. Thus, the developed platform for learning words has significant potential for improving the quality of learning, increasing user motivation, and effectively organising the process of acquiring new vocabulary. The use of the developed platform contributes to improving the effectiveness of the learning process and provides opportunities for personalising learning with adaptation to the individual needs of the user.
