The paper presents the possibility of using graph theory and the hierarchy method to solve the problem of studying the functioning of certain technological processes and determining the priority of parameters that affect the process under consideration. This technique allows solving problems that are difficult to describe using mathematical quantities. Therefore, at the stage of designing technological systems, it is necessary to determine which parameters generally affect this process, which parameters are more important compared to others, and to establish relationships between the parameters. Therefore, this study is aimed at determining the priority of parameters influencing the process of designing an information system by solving the problem of determining the importance of the selected parameters and their importance. To carry out these calculations, it is proposed to conduct an expert survey among correspondents who are familiar with these processes, and according to the survey data and establish the influence of one parameter on another. According to the data obtained, it is proposed to construct a graph of relationships between the parameters influencing the process under study, which makes it possible to understand the interaction between the parameters purely visually. According to this method, it is proposed to further build tables of accessibility and dependence, which in the final version will help to determine the hierarchical dependence and importance between the parameters of influence. From the obtained calculations, it was determined that the most important parameter to which attention should be paid when designing an information system is the parameter of system functionality. The parameters of users and technical support turned out to be less important parameters in the calculations. This study and the results obtained will be useful for developers of information systems, including for designing information systems for the educational process. Which in the final version will make it possible not to be distracted by studying the number and importance of parameters and reduce the time of designing information systems.
