A comprehensive study of the cause-and-effect model for enhancing reading convenience in books aimed at the younger age category has been conducted. Particular attention was given to analyzing the primary criteria that meet modern requirements for the quality of children’s literature. The necessity of developing and standardizing criteria to ensure the safety and comfort of publications, while fostering a positive reading experience, has been emphasized. The research highlights the importance of considering the ergonomic, psychological, and physiological characteristics of young readers when designing children’s books.

A detailed approach to analyzing factors affecting reading convenience was introduced, utilizing the Ishikawa diagram. This methodology not only identified key cause-and-effect relationships but also enabled an in-depth study of specific factors such as font style, size, contrast, illustrative elements, text structure, and layout. The study identified factors that facilitate high-quality reading experiences, as well as those that may hinder comprehension and engagement.

The results have broad applicability. They will support the implementation of systematic quality control at all stages of book production, from concept development to printing. Additionally, the findings will serve as a foundation for strategic planning in the publishing sector, ensuring that children’s books are tailored to the needs of modern audiences. The adoption of the proposed recommendations will improve not only the readability of books but also adherence to safety standards, which is critically important in creating children’s literature. This will foster a love of reading, a positive attitude towards printed materials, and the development of reading skills among children.

The proposed approach will be valuable for researchers, publishing professionals, educators, and policymakers involved in regulating children’s literature. It will contribute to the overall improvement of the quality of books for young readers.
