The article emphasizes the need to acquire new skills and abilities in the work of graphic editors, designers and prepress specialists in the printing industry, based on the use of artificial intelligence tools in graphic programs. Specialists should be able to write a detailed and correct prompt; generate, correct, and finalize manually prepared and AI-generated images. The article analyzes the integration of artificial intelligence into Adobe Photoshop, the benefits and potential consequences for the creative industry. The authors emphasize the need to use all possible resources, both basic software and online services or plug-ins that use AI elements, which speeds up the execution of tasks. The use of new approaches to image processing allows one to reduce the time required for technological operations to prepare images at the prepress stage. It is important to use and interact with different programs for preparing graphics. A combination of generative fill in Adobe Photoshop, Midjourney, and Adobe Illustrator vector graphics program is effective. From now on, it is possible to use mockups directly in Adobe Illustrator without downloading them from external sources. The functions of artificial intelligence in graphic programs are generalized and systematized and illustrated using a diagram. The features of some of the new artificial intelligence tools in Adobe Photoshop are described, namely: Select Subject, Remove Background, Neural Filters, Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and the Alpaca plugin. The tools are generalized according to the functions they perform, which will make it easier to navigate new versions of image processing software. Recommendations for working with prompt are presented. The negative ethical aspects of the use of artificial intelligence in image processing are noted.
