The article proposes the technique for correcting the trajectory of the pressure plate in a die-cutting press based on an eccentric mechanism. This technique optimises the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the equipment comprehensively and ensures effective control over the energy-force parameters of the die-cutting process for cardboard blanks. In contrast to standard methods, which often require developing and implementing complex additional mechanisms, the proposed approach involves a flexible modification of the pressure plate motion law by applying a servodrive, which does not necessitate significant and costly structural changes to the press basic architecture.

A set of mathematical dependencies was derived for the practical implementation of this technique. These define two key parameters: the corrective crank rotation angle and the precise time intervals for the control system, which ensure the necessary realisation of the specified motion law. The choice of the optimal motion law was thoroughly justified based on an in-depth analysis of the eccentric mechanism kinematics and an assessment of its inertial load dynamics, allowing for determining its most rational operational mode.

The validity and soundness of the obtained theoretical results were confirmed through dynamic simulation in the Autodesk Inventor environment, explicitly using the Dynamic Simulation module. The simulation results clearly confirm the precise correspondence of the actual pressure plate movement to the programmed law, which, in turn, indicates the achievement of the main goals – a significant reduction in dynamic loads on the press main drive and ensuring high overall operational smoothness.

The proposed technique opens up broad prospects for further scientific research. In particular, it has the potential for studying the influence of various motion laws on the energy efficiency of the technological process, the accuracy of the die-cutting operation, and the further optimisation of production costs in the packaging manufacturing industry.
