The expediency of predicate logic and semantic networks usage has been grounded that contributes to the design of the domain information models to reflect the nature and relationships between factors of preparation processes and publishing of book editions. The semantic network of factors of book design has been developed. It has been describes how to establish the level of importance of factors using the analytic hierarchy process, ranking method, matrices of reachability and pairwise comparisons. It presents the calculation of weight values of factors, synthesis and optimization of multilevel models of priority factors influence on the quality of the implementation of phases and technological procedures of editorial and publishing process.
