Informed Consent Statement

All scientific articles reporting the results of research involving human participants must include an informed consent statement. Such a statement is a mandatory element of publication in cases where the study involves participants, respondents, patients, or other individuals.

The following formulations are recommended for use in the text of the article:

  • “Informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the study.”
  • “Participant/patient consent was withdrawn for the following reasons: …” — with a clear and justified explanation provided.
  • “Not applicable” — in cases where the study did not involve human participants.

If the submitted research does not involve human participants, the statement may be omitted from the article, provided this is consistent with the journal’s editorial policy.

It should also be noted that written informed consent for publication is mandatory in cases where the article contains information about participants that could allow their direct or indirect identification, including by the participants themselves.

In such cases, the following wording is recommended:

  • “Written informed consent was obtained from the patient(s)/participant(s) for publication of this article.”

This requirement is intended to ensure compliance with ethical standards of scholarly publishing, protection of participants’ rights, and safeguarding of personal data confidentiality.
